Over the past ten years, Demetra’s growth has been driven by key milestones that expanded its capabilities and international footprint—from the industrial and scientific foundations that marked the beginning of the journey, to acquisitions and new divisions that strengthened the Group’s ability to innovate in strategic areas such as orthopaedics, infection control, and minimally invasive spine surgery.

Ten years of impact, told through tangible results 

Demetra’s impact is measurable: the Group now operates in more than 114 countries and, through its technologies, has contributed to fixing over 11 million prostheses with orthopaedic bone cements and restoring over 6 million vertebrae with spine bone cements. In infection control, it has supported the management of over 200,000 joint infections through spacers. 

This is combined with an ongoing commitment to research and development, supported by a portfolio of 66 patents and more than 250 scientific studies, with 10% of annual revenues reinvested in R&D.
