International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Demetra Group celebrates women’s talents.

February 11, 2025, International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Demetra Group celebrates the talents of women and their key role in innovation.

“We invest in people and innovation for the development of excellence in healthcare”.

Demetra Group’s mission is centered on people – the surgeons and patients who are helped every day by the technologies that its companies design and produce, and the many people in Europe, North America and Asia who work tirelessly to create and continually develop those technologies.

Among these people, women have always – and increasingly – played a leading role, putting their scientific, mathematical and technological skills at the service of researching and implementing innovative solutions for healthcare: in the companies of the Demetra Group, 22 percent of employees with STEM skills (i.e. with a degree in science, technology, engineering and mathematics) are women.

It is therefore quite natural, but at the same time highly desirable, to join the celebration of the International Day for Women and Girls in Science, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and was established by the United Nations General Assembly and promoted by UNESCO to promote the full and equal participation of women and girls in scientific and technological progress.

Women working in Demetra Group companies, in addition to their recognized professionalism and expertise, are ambassadors of optimism and practicality, enthusiasm and common sense. February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, is an additional opportunity to recognize their role and value and to express the gratitude of the entire business community to them.
